The Virgin Islands Department of Education will suspend all in-person interactions with the public at its state and district offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix, effective August 17. While offices will remain open, only telephone or email communication with the Department will be available through August 28.
The change in operations follows Governor Albert Bryan Jr’s announcement on August 13 to return to the territory's “Stay-at-Home” reopening phase due to the recent spike in coronavirus cases in the community.
The Department of Education reaffirms that the health and safety of its employees are a top priority.
