The Virgin Islands Department of Education wishes to remind students and parents of test dates and sites when the SAT and ACT standardized tests will be administered in the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John districts.
The following information is important to note:
• The SAT and ACT standardized tests are independently managed and administered by the College Board and ACT, Inc., respectively, not by the Virgin Islands Department of Education; students register for the tests online and select a date and location on the island in which they reside
• SAT and ACT testing sites are fully operational on both St. Croix and St. Thomas, and are established by the College Board and ACT, Inc., not the V.I. Department of Education
• If a student receives notification, after completing online registration with the College Board or ACT, Inc., that they are to report for testing on a different island from which they reside, it is likely an error occurred while completing the online registration
• Students are urged to notify their guidance counselors immediately to rectify any issue with test scheduling
