The Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School will revert to virtual learning for the remainder of the week, April 5-8, 2022, due to a rise in positive COVID-19 cases among students.
Mass COVID-19 testing was conducted for students by the Department of Health on Monday, April 4. The school was closed on March 30, out of an abundance of caution and by recommendation from the Department of Health; and on April 1, school-based employees underwent COVID-19 testing.
The Department of Health has further recommended that BCB Middle School students undergo a second round of COVID-19 testing on Monday, April 11. Testing will be conducted on the school’s campus via drive-through or walk-up; parents must accompany students for testing. Additional information on testing times and registration will be provided to parents once those details have been finalized.
Students and staff are reminded to remain at home if they are sick and are exhibiting signs of COVID-19 (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea).
The Department of Education will provide an update on the status of the school for Tuesday, April 12.
